Starting a new study

Welcome to FPN

Your new education starts with introduction days plus preparation courses from 26 August 2019. This week is compulsory for most students. It includes lectures and tutorials about the Problem Based Learning methodology, besided various social and teambuilding activities.

Introduction 2019-2020, compulsory for most students:
If this is your first study at Maastricht University (UM):
Or if you are an Exchange student:
•  Compulsory: all activities in the week of 26-08-2019.
 
If you did a previous UM study
and are now starting a FPN 1-year Master:

•  No compulsory introduction days.
  Courses start Mon. 2 Sept. 2019.

•  You will be invited to the party on Thursday.
•  You will be invited to the opening ceremony on Monday and the social event of your specialisation.

If you did a previous UM study
and are now starting the FPN Research Master,
Forensic Master  or Joint Master:
 
•  Compulsory: all activities in the week of 26-08-2019.

Good to know

• To get an idea of your year, have a look at the current course descriptions and the academic calendar.  New information on the academic year 2019-2020 will be published on 15 May 2019.

• The courses for period 1 will be booked by the Education Office. This also applies to former FPN Bachelor students. During the introduction days, we will explain you how book your courses for the rest of the year.
• When your UM-account is ready, we will notify you on the email address that you used in Studielink .

• The Studielink address will also be used to inform you that your UM-card can be picked up.
• The INKOM  is the optional general introduction week, just before the faculty introduction days.
